New 'green' virtual temporary card saves plastic
Essential for ad hoc contractors, these cards are for individuals visiting a Reset site as a one-off visit. Up to now, these have been issued as plastic cards to allow the holder to log-in to site using Reset Access services (our contractor self-service check-in systems).
The plastic temporary card has worked well over the years, but not been without its flaws, largely because cards are used by numerous people resulting in them being lost, damaged and not returned, meaning more plastic cards have to be produced to re-plenish them. This is now a thing of the past.
The new virtual temporary cards are now issued digitally, directly to the user’s mobile phone and will expire automatically, as scheduled, to ensure security as well as safety on site. The temporary card ensures that the ‘control of contractors’ on site is delivered effectively, providing the five ‘w’s’ – who, what, where, when and why with regard to contractors working on site.
Five virtual temporary cards are included with each Reset Access terminal and are provided to reinforce contractor compliance for anyone bringing ad hoc contractors on site to work. The temporary card does not allow checking of personal qualifications and accreditations and this must be done manually before any individual, who is not a full Reset cardholder, goes on site.
Keep all of your site attendances recorded and up to date by using the Reset Virtual Temporary Card for your one-off visitors and contractors.
