Reset Access RingFence is an advanced geo-fencing solution designed to enhance contractor management and site safety compliance on any site that use Reset to manage and monitor their contractors. It enables precise boundary control for any site, regardless of shape or size, with mapping accuracy to within 1 metre. This innovative solution supports contractor sign-in and sign-out processes via mobile devices, streamlining site access and delivering control of contractors on-site.
On our existing sites, where physical Reset contractor check-in points exist, when a Reset Cardholder enters site, they will be asked, via the Reset Cardholder App, if they are working on-site today. Once they have confirmed that they are, the application will direct them to their nearest Reset Access terminal or Reset Access Mobile badge to enable them to sign-in using their Reset card.
If a contractor signs in using the Reset Cardholder App via their mobile device and does not sign out at a physical terminal or badge when leaving site, the system will automatically sign them out, instantly, as they cross the boundary of the geo-fenced area, as well as notifying the manager for that contractor as it does so. The cardholder will also receive a notification confirming that they have been signed out, ensuring accurate attendance tracking with reassurance but without any manual intervention.
The second part of this development will take sign-in to site to the next level. Where a site chooses to utilise the Reset Access RingFence sign-in service, their attending contractors, as long as they are within the mapped boundary, will be able to sign-in, wherever they are on-site, from their mobile device using the Reset Cardholder App without visiting a terminal or badge - they will sign- in via ‘virtual’ terminals that are strategically positioned across the site.
The Geo-location technology means that it is not just for physical premises, for example, an external area being accessed by utility company’s contractors, can be mapped in exactly the same way as a physical building to track attendances. Temporary sites too, such as an area of road works, can be set up to create a virtual site for the duration of the works and then be removed once the work is complete.
Reset RingFence is not just for the organisations with large estates and premises that, in the past, have been the typical users of Reset. It can now provide practical and viable solutions for any organisation, whether operating on large, small, single or multiple sites, or running a national chain of outlets, Reset can deliver cost-effective contractor management to all.
Gary Duce, Managing Director of Reset, says:
“The development of Reset RingFence enables us to deliver extremely accurate site mapping, tailored to each client’s premises and grounds. With the accurate tracking of both inbound and outbound contractors, organisations can capture the contractor log-in at the point of entry to the site, wherever that maybe, as long as it is within their set boundary. This innovative solution not only enhances the effectiveness of Reset Access contractor log-in on larger sites but now makes it both practical and viable for smaller premises and more diverse estates too.”
