On Wednesday 19 June Reset will be supporting National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day.
The annual event which is now in its third year is dedicated to recognising the vital work done by those in the estates and facilities profession, the unsung heroes that help to keep healthcare facilities across the UK running.
Besides the estates teams managing the premises and grounds, other services that come under the healthcare E&F umbrella include porters, linen services, catering and security to name a few and all of which work together to provide the right environment to enable a high standard of patient care.
Last year’s event saw 563 registrations from healthcare, companies, contractors and social care teams, reaching 283,000 staff with this year’s event tipped to be bigger and better than ever!
This national awareness day was created by the Joint Association Group[1] who represent most of the estates and facilities services in healthcare across the UK. They are encouraging people to get involved and plan activities such as baking competitions, internal awards, events and sharing of E&F team photos.
Reset’s contractor management services are used on over 300 NHS sites across the UK and assist the estates and facilities teams in meeting their legal duties when managing contractors, as well as offering an efficient and cost-effective solution for verifying competences at both an organisation and individual worker level.
Because of our service provision we work closely with thousands of estates and facilities personnel and have first-hand experience of the essential work they do.
On the day, Reset will be giving a shout out to all the E&F teams across the UK who go above and beyond every single day to ensure that NHS premises run safely and efficiently.
We will also be sending some Reset goodie bags to the first 20 NHS Trusts or E&F teams, not currently using Reset, who tag us in on their National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day activities.
